Chelsea to sell Trevoh Chalobah this summer after omission from Enzo's squad

Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca, has explained why he dropped Trevoh Chalobah from his squad for the US pre-season tour.

Maresca said although it is “sad to leave a player out” he is “here to take decisions.”

Chalobah is now expected to leave Stamford Bridge on a permanent deal.

“It’s always sad to leave a player out… but I’m here to take decisions,” Maresca said.

“For Trevoh, we have Wes, Axel, Tosin there and a young profile like Josh Acheampong who is doing fantastic.”

Chelsea are willing to sell Chalobah for £35million this summer and three Premier League clubs have already made contact.
